Wrapping up the Lower 48 Trip for 2012
Well, we're coming close to the end of our lower 48 tour for 2012. Sharnay and Lucas are already back in Fort Yukon (they flew up to Fairbanks on Monday and to Fort Yukon today). I will be speaking at Valley Christian Center in Hazelton, ID, this Sunday and then, on Tuesday (the 23rd), it's Alaska bound for me!
There are some projects to wrap up, here in Glenns Ferry, before I head out. We finally finished the bathroom remodel in the parsonage (PRAISE THE LORD).
To help improve and update somethings in the foyer of the church, we installed new lighting and added a coffee table with a new coffee maker. For the sanctuary, we were able to go around the local area and take pictures for 5 different banners (4 eight foot long banners for the sanctuary and 1 six foot wide "welcome" banner for the foyer).
We are finishing up laying the wood laminate flooring in the fellowship hall, which will be an area for youth ministry and events for the church. I am excited about all the changes that we've been able to be part of, here at Desert Oasis Outreach Assembly of God. Pastor Dan is super passionate about reaching this community and thriving in relationship with God. We just hope that we've done everything in our power to propel him, and this church, forward towards their destiny.
We are definitely VERY glad to be headed back to Alaska (the greatest place in the world). We will be itinerating in Alaska for November & December, as well as spending time with our family and friends in North Pole and Fort Yukon during the holidays.
Please keep us in prayer. We are now at 66% of our budget goal! We are SO close to being able to go back to Fort Yukon, fully funded. Keep checking back here for more updates and news as we continue spreading the word about Mission:Alaska!
