Greetings from Fort Yukon! I pray that this year would be full of Gods blessings and abundant love!

God has done so much in my life and in my heart. I know for me this last year was anything but easy! And if you’re anything like me, you have to be reminded almost daily that we are not called to live this life in our own strength. I am entering into the new year with great expectations and a heart ready to receive all that God will do in 2018!

1 Peter 5 warns us to keep a sober mind and to be aware of the enemy who prowls around like a lion looking for someone to devour.

“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” - 1 Peter‬ ‭5:8-10‬.

1 Peter 5 also says we have to stand firm in the faith... that is the key here. Standing firm in the hope we have! Regardless of how we feel- what’s going on in our lives and no matter what is coming against us. When we suffer, we have a chance to build endurance and God can be glorified through any and every circumstance..

When we stand firm in Him, He restores us, makes us strong, firm and steadfast! That is my ultimate prayer as we go into the new year. That We wouldn’t do things in our own strength, but that we would stand firm in Him. To give God our all and to push through every circumstance with His wisdom and His heart leading us.
