I'm hoping you all had a great Thanksgiving with your families. We sure did! We weren't able to fly into Fairbanks to spend Thanksgiving with my parents (like we have been in the past), but we were able to have Clarence Goward III and our neighbor over for the meal. But, there were some things that stood out to me, this November, that were less than ideal.
I find it interesting and disturbing how many Christians are bowing down before the false god of America: Tolerance. We are being told that we have to tolerate the invasion of our beliefs. We have to be tolerant if our neighbor doesn't believe in God and, thus, around CHRISTmas, he doesn't want to see any signs or icons that have to do with Jesus (including those you might want to put in YOUR front yard). Since when do we care what heathens think about God? If I remember correctly, America is the "land of the free".
This Thanksgiving season, I saw allot of pandering to those who don't believe in God. Have we forgotten that Thanksgiving is about giving thanks TO GOD?! That last part is very important. It's not about just being thankful in your heart for everything in your life. It's about letting God know that you are thankful for what HE has given you and for what HE has done in your life.
As we move into CHRISTmas time, this year, lets remember that Jesus Christ is our savior and Lord. And lets not be ashamed or embarrassed to let everyone know it.
Oh, and lets not care in the least how our expression of our faith may "offend" people.
